Now, Steam Store officialy says that Market Dominion release date is set between June and July 2019. But why did it end up like that? Why was Market Dominion postponed?
"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad" - Shigeru Miyamoto.
This is simply the reason - Market Dominion released this spring would be a rushed out product. Instead, we'd rather focus on getting all the details done. There are still some important things to do during the game developent, such as improving major mechanics and getting new functions to work.
But... is Market Dominion going to bring something new? Well, according to the first version of the documentation we had, there were a lot of new things added to make the game better and change the dynamics. We really want to improve the player's experience around the main point of the game: spreading popularity of your company around the world.
We added several things, such as Deal Power and State Operations to improve these experiences, although the beta version will show the true outcome of these changes.
Slowly, but we're getting to the point we were supposed to reach. It's better to slow down a bit and get what we're trying to get, rather than hoping for the best and fixing stuff with DLC. Which, by the way, might come out in 2019 as well. But that's a story for another day...
